- Willie Pope a été presque intouchable, retirant 15 frappeurs sur des prises et ne donnant que 3 coups sûrs, mais un circuit à Wally Jako. Il a toutefois frappé lui-même une longue balle et son frère Dave Pope a ajouté une claque de 2 points et Farnham a gagné 3-1 pour prendre les devants 2-0 dans sa série 4-de-7 face à Granby. Ernie Balser a bien fait au monticule mais a été le perdant.
- À St-Jean, les locaux tiraient de l’arrière 5-4 en 9e manche, mais ils ont placé deux coureurs sur les sentiers pour Jean-Paul Mérineau, qui a répondu avec un coup de circuit qui a mis fin au match. St-Jean l’emporte 7-5 et nivelle la série à un match partout. Lou Knerr, qui avait frappé un circuit plus tôt dans le match, a lancé tout le match pour Sherbrooke et a subi la défaite. C’est le jeune Reno Barbisan, venu en relève en 9e manche, qui savoure la victoire. Mérineau avait obtenu 2 doubles plus tôt dans la partie.

- Willie Pope was almost untouchable, striking out 15 hitters and being touched for only 3 hits, but among them a Wally Jako homerun. However, he himself homered ans his brother Dave Pope added a 2-run shot as Farnham won 3-1 to take a 2-0 lead in the best of 7 series against Granby. Ernie Balser did a good job on the mound, but was handed the loss.
- In St. Jean, locals were behind 5-4 in the 9th inning, but put 2 runners on base for Jean-Paul Mérineau, who responded with a dramatic long ball that gave St. Jean a 7-5 win. The series is now tied at 1 game apiece. Lou Knerr, who had homered earlier in the game, pitched the whole game for Sherbrooke and took the loss. It’s youngster Reno Barbisan, brought in relief in th 9th inning, who got credit for the win. Mérineau had doubled twice earlier in the game.
- The third games of all three series are scheduled for tonight.
